I have been making these Orange Cranberry Scones for several years and I have yet to find someone who does not love them as much as I do! The recipe is super easy to make and is perfect for all seasons!
Scones
🍁 2 Cups Flour
🍁 1/3 Cup Sugar
🍁 2 – 3 Tbsp Orange zest
🍁 1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
🍁 1/2 Tsp Salt
🍁 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter (cold)
🍁 1 Medium Orange – Juiced (roughly 1/2 a cup)
🍁 1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream (cold)
🍁 3/4 Cup Dried Cranberries
Glaze
🍁 3/4 Cup Powder Sugar
🍁 1-2 Tbsp Orange Juice
Scones Instructions
🍁 Preheat your oven to 375°
🍁 In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar, orange zest, baking powder and salt.
🍁 Shred cold butter with a cheese grater and blend into the flour mixture.
🍁 Once well combined, add heavy cream and orange juice. Mix until a dough starts to form.
🍁 Add the dried cranberries and with your hands kneed until well combined. The dough will be slightly sticky.
🍁 Split the dough into two even parts.
🍁 On a floured surface, add one half of the dough and flatten into a disk. The disk should be about 1 1/2 inches thick.
🍁 Cut the disk into 8 even triangles and place on a cookie sheet that is lined with parchment paper.
🍁 Repeat the same process with the second half of the dough.
🍁 Back for 20-25 minutes.
Glaze Instructions
🍁 In a small bowl add the powder sugar
🍁 Add the orange juice in small increments and mix until smooth.
🍁 Once the scones are fully cooled, drizzle the glaze on top.
