I have been making these Orange Cranberry Scones for several years and I have yet to find someone who does not love them as much as I do! The recipe is super easy to make and is perfect for all seasons!Β
Scones
π 2 Cups Flour
π 1/3 Cup Sugar
π 2 β 3 Tbsp Orange zestΒ
π 1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
π 1/2 Tsp Salt
π 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter (cold)
π 1 Medium Orange β Juiced (roughly 1/2 a cup)
π 1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream (cold)
π 3/4 Cup Dried Cranberries
Glaze
π 3/4 Cup Powder Sugar
π 1-2 Tbsp Orange Juice
Scones Instructions
π Preheat your oven to 375Β°
π In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar, orange zest, baking powder and salt.
π Shred cold butter with a cheese grater and blend into the flour mixture.
π Once well combined, add heavy cream and orange juice. Mix until a dough starts to form.
π Add the dried cranberries and with your hands kneed until well combined. The dough will be slightly sticky.
π Split the dough into two even parts.
π On a floured surface, add one half of the dough and flatten into a disk. The disk should be about 1 1/2 inches thick.
π Cut the disk into 8 even triangles and place on a cookie sheet that is lined with parchment paper.
π Repeat the same process with the second half of the dough.
π Back for 20-25 minutes.
Glaze Instructions
π In a small bowl add the powder sugar
π Add the orange juice in small increments and mix until smooth.
π Once the scones are fully cooled, drizzle the glaze on top.
